Theo Badashi (Writer & Host) – is a co-visionary and host of The Future of Energy, a documentary love story about the renewable energy revolution. He is also the co-founder of Planetary Advocate, an emerging non-profit that uses art, media, and education to inspire the next wave of change makers to take on the climate crisis and create a beautiful future for all. For more than a decade Badashi has been advocating social justice and environmental stewardship through media and community organizing.
Working towards his PhD in philosophy and consciousness studies, his research addresses the current shift in global culture from the ‘industrial growth’ society of scarcity and ecological destruction towards a life-sustaining society of community abundance and planetary stewardship. His research also addresses the relationship between technology, ecology, and human potential, with an emphasis on the role of energy and communication technologies in social change.
A self described “Conscious Optimist”, Badashi’s work infuses leading consciousness research with perennial philosophy and humor to inspire audiences to think big and to participate in the exciting future that’s emerging. He lives in the San Francisco Bay Area.
